 ☀️ Code Yellow Alert Issued as Temperatures Soar to 36°C in Limburg and Noord-Brabant


The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a Code Yellow warning starting Sunday, as tropical heat grips the southern and eastern parts of the country. From Monday, the National Heat Plan will be activated, aiming to protect vulnerable groups like the elderly and those with health conditions.



➡️ Sunday’s Forecast:


Temperatures: 26°C to 30°C inland, 22°C to 24°C along the coast


UV Index: High (Level 7) – unprotected skin may burn within 10–20 minutes


Wind: Moderate, coming from the northwest



➡️ Monday & Tuesday:

Temperatures will climb further. Some southeastern areas could exceed 35°C, potentially triggering heatwave conditions.


Tuesday will be the hottest day, with highs between 30°C and 36°C inland.


Humidity will make it feel even hotter, and winds will remain light, mostly from the south.



➡️ Wednesday:

Hot weather continues, but clouds and thunderstorms are expected by the afternoon or evening.

Afterward, a cooling trend will begin, with daytime temperatures dropping to 20°C to 25°C, and night lows reaching a refreshing 10°C to 13°C.
